How to Create Mobile Popups That Convert

Learn how to create mobile popups that convert. This video shows how to optimize campaigns for small screens to keep visitors engaged and increase conversions.

What are mobile popups that convert?

Mobile popups that convert are campaigns designed for small screens—clear copy, concise forms, and layout tailored to phones—so visitors stay engaged and take action.

Why mobile optimization works

Most traffic is mobile. If your popup isn’t optimized, visitors close it and move on. A mobile-first layout improves the experience, keeps people engaged, and lifts conversions.

  2. Preview on specific devices (e.g., iPhone Pro Max or iPhone) to check real layout behavior.
  3. Adjust content for small screens: shorten headlines, resize text, and simplify layout.
  4. Hide non-essential elements on mobile to reduce friction and keep focus on the action.
  5. If needed, create a mobile-only popup by disabling the desktop version.

Speaker: Sofie

Hi. I’m Sofie. And in this video, I’m gonna show you how you create mobile pop ups that actually converts using our mobile editor because it’s a fact that most of the website traffic today is coming from mobile. And if you haven’t optimized your pop ups for the smaller screens, your visitors will just close them and be annoyed by them, and we want to avoid that.

So that’s exactly why we’re gonna switch from the desktop editor to the mobile editor. Here, you can see your campaign. You can even go ahead and see it on a specific type of mobile. This is an iPhone Pro Max.

We can also switch just to an iPhone.

And the good thing is you’re able to resize some of the elements. You’re able to shorten the text, change the size of the text. Just in general, make sure everything looks good on mobile as well. So in this case, we could make the headline just one size smaller, and it looks better.

And this campaign is for an app which is even more relevant on mobile. So the result is you will give your visitors a smooth, mobile friendly experience.

And that is exactly what we want because that will keep your visitors engaged, and that will increase your conversions.

So make sure to always check the mobile version as well, and you can even hide specific elements on mobile. You can also choose to create just a pop up only for mobile by clicking here and say disable desktop, and then you will only have the mobile version. No matter what you choose, always check the mobile version as well. Most of your visitors will see this.
