Exciting News: Sleeknote Is Joining the Awesome Motive Family

We started Sleeknote in 2014 with a simple idea: popups don’t have to be annoying. Show the right message to the right visitor at the right time, and a popup feels helpful instead of intrusive. Today, businesses use our popups, slide-ins, and sticky bars to turn more of their visitors into subscribers and customers.

As we planned the next phase of growth, we looked for a partner who shared that mission. We also wanted someone who could bring more than resources: the experience, products, and people to help us move faster for our customers.

Why Awesome Motive?

Awesome Motive isn’t new to us. They’ve run their own email marketing on Drip, our sister brand, for many years, and Syed has long been one of Drip’s top affiliates because he genuinely believes in the product.

That mattered to us. We wanted a partner who understands what Sleeknote does for our customers’ businesses, because they’ve seen it firsthand on their own. 

We also wanted to ensure continuity and long-term success for our platform and customers. Because Awesome Motive is fully bootstrapped, they always build for the long term, so Sleeknote gets the commitment and resources to keep moving forward for years to come. What changes at Sleeknote?

The truth is, very little is changing at Sleeknote.

Ahead of the acquisition, Syed and I talked for several months about the past and future of Sleeknote. By the end, I knew we’d found the right home for both.

The entire team will continue in their current roles, and I will continue leading Sleeknote as an independent business unit. Every brand at Awesome Motive operates autonomously.

Most importantly, Sleeknote stays available on its own. Your account, your integrations, your campaigns, your pricing, and the service you get from our team all stay the same.

Our vision and product roadmap move ahead as planned. From now on, though, we’ll have the added support, resources, AI expertise, and insights from Awesome Motive and other portfolio companies to help us achieve our goals.

We’ll also work closely with Awesome Motive’s in-house marketing team and other WPBeginner Growth Fund companies to improve our integrations, fill the gaps of any missing functionality, and improve the support experience between all brands.

Essentially, our commitment to you remains the same. We want to continue building the best onsite marketing tool for turning visitors into subscribers and customers!

Looking Ahead

The entire team and I are incredibly excited about this new chapter and the opportunity it brings to further our mission.

As more of your audience finds answers through AI, every visitor who does reach your site is worth more. So our next big focus is making Sleeknote the best onsite marketing tool for the AI era.

That work has already started. Sleeknote now includes an MCP connector, so you can ask AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT how your campaigns are performing, without clicking through dashboards.

Together with Awesome Motive, our roadmap includes more AI-powered features built by experienced practitioners and experts to help you save time and turn more of your traffic into subscribers and sales.

Our goal is to make Sleeknote the easiest way for businesses to turn website visitors into subscribers and customers, without annoying them. This new partnership gives us the resources and backing to accelerate that progress, so you can expect high-quality features released month after month.
