Tell us about hummel
hummel was established in 1923 and has a long history of creating sportswear. This has given us an expertise that easily shows in today’s fashion collections with sporty silhouettes and an overall active look. Today, we have four types of collections; sport, lifestyle, fashion and footwear.
We are present in more than 40 countries, which makes us an international company with a global mindset. In Denmark, we are around 150 employees and our office is located in Aarhus.
We have +200,000 visitors on our homepage each month.
What makes hummel unique?
What makes us unique is that we want to be more than just a company selling clothes. Therefore, we have a “karma” philosophy saying: “Change the world through sport.”
For us, sport is more than a physical activity. We trust that we can make a real change in the world by using sport to create borderless understanding, respect and unity. We thus initiate and support several projects focusing on changing the world through sport, by sponsorships in poor and war-torn countries. That’s why we sponsor the national football team in countries like Afghanistan and local clubs in other war-torn countries.
What’s really smart about Sleeknote is that we’re able to create boxes where the subscriber can choose what they would like to get news about.Janni Mørch Nielsen
What do you use Sleeknote for?
Our main purpose with Sleeknote is to get more subscribers for our newsletter. One of the ways we do this is by creating competitions. As an example, we have an opt-in saying “Sign up for our newsletter to win a year’s supply of hummel”. What’s really smart about Sleeknote is that we’re able to create boxes where the subscriber can choose what they would like to get news about. This helps us a lot in the segmenting process and ensures that we only send relevant emails.

We have also used Sleeknote to redirect our visitors to a certain campaign page. We created an opt-in with a competition saying something like “Click here to participate in the competition” with a link to the particular site. This created a lot of traffic to the campaign page where we promoted our, at that time, sponsorship with the German football club FC St. Pauli along with the club’s jerseys and footballs.
