JYSK is a large international retail chain that sells “everything for your home”. JYSK was founded by Lars Larsen, who always has a “good offer”, and our company is represented with over 2,200 stores in 37 different countries. In all we employ nearly 19,000 employees. The first JYSK store opened in 1979 in Aarhus, and today we are close to reaching 100 stores in Denmark.
JYSK is headquartered in Brabrand, and from here we manage the entire JYSK Nordic, that consists of 18 countries. In the latest years JYSK has started to focus much more on the online section. We are trying to create the same user experience online as the users have when visiting our stores.
Today 17% of our total subscription database come from Sleeknote. Before we started using Sleeknote our subscription database grew with 1-3% per month, but after we started using Sleeknote the growth has been around 6-7%.Jacob Fusager

What was your goal, when you started using Sleeknote?
The goal was that we should increase our subscriber database. JYSK.dk is a popular page, but we did not have enough signups versus the number of visitors. We were not able to convert our many visitors into subscribers. With Sleeknote the signups for our newsletter have exploded, so our goal has definitely been achieved. Our expectations have been fulfilled, and we have increased the number of permissions.

What has Sleeknote helped you with?
Sleeknote has helped us to achieve our goal about getting a larger database. As soon as we started using Sleeknote on our website, our database has grown considerably. We have also used Sleeknote for important messages. For example we have created popups with various campaigns such as Black Friday, which contributed to overall success. In addition we have also used the exit-intent. It has been running in Denmark once with fine results, so we would like to use it again. In November and December we used the newsletter Sleeknote as a signup form for our Christmas calendar. This resulted in a lot of signups, and it was a great success, so it is obvious that there are many options with the newsletter Sleeknote.
What is the result after using Sleeknote?
Overall it has been very good. Since we activated our Sleeknote on our various countries’ websites in September 2014, we have experienced a significant increase in the number of newsletter subscriptions. Why is email marketing important for JYSK?
Email marketing is important to us, because we can talk to our customers and enrich them with good offers and content that adds value. It is all about making interesting content to our customers, that they can actually use for something. At the same time email marketing helps us to create the loyal and recurrent customer that we can do something special for.

How has the collaboration with Sleeknote been?
It has without doubt been really good. The people at Sleeknote are talented and nice, and they have been really good at coming up with releases and new features. JYSK is a big company, who is always busy and therefore it is nice that you can just write or call one of the employees at Sleeknote, who can look into it and fix the problem as soon as possible. Additionally it is really cool that there is this super fast support, which is really good, when you need some sparring. We have no complaints about the Sleeknote boys whatsoever – they have been a great help to us.
